New & Current U.S. hardcore bands to check out!

One good thing about the existence of labels like Reaper Records is that the search for cool new hardcore becomes so goddamn easier. This particular label is doing a lot of hard work to support the scene by bringing the best of US hardcore to the world. Isn't it true? Noteworthy hardcore bands out there are bound to end up on the bill of a Reaper show! I personally see the Reaper imprint as a guarantee for good hardcore and have gotten into many new bands through Reaper flyers etc. Just like with this one below...

Now let's get to work and do something similar with European hardcore and our own local scenes. Unite and push hardcore to the world!

Out Crowd ("Just Us" Record Release Flyer)

You can sleep safe when you know that record labels like Reaper Records are working hard to bring you the best in real, undiluted hardcore music. The bands on this flyer (from Out Crowd's record release show) are just some of the new names in hardcore that you should definitely keep an eye out for. Stay hardcore!

Out Crowd's new 7" entitled Just Us is out now on Reaper Records, available in red and green vinyl.

TERROR, DBD, TAKE OFFENSE & More Live in Athens

This weekend, better brace yourself for some supreme hardcore action coming to our city. Terror (pretty much the biggest band of today's hardcore) hits Athens once again, this time as part of the Unleashed Hell inFest VII, together with Boston hardcore heavyweights Death Before Dishonor and Reaper Records' heavy old schoolers Take Offense. The ticket would be worth it for each band separately, let alone all the bands together!

BACKTRACK @ United Blood Fest

Backtrack is one of the better known new bands on Reaper Records' all-star hardcore roster. To me this band is awesome cause it manages to continue the NYHC tradition in a fresh way, and packs tons of pure hardcore attitude to boot. Their album Darker Half is out now and deserves your attention.

Check out the video below to seem them thrashing the stage at this year's United Blood fest! The quality is poor, but the mosh factor high and the sound quality is OK.

TERROR "The New Blood" Video (Guest Vox by Toby Morse)

Terror is a band that needs no introduction in hardcore circles or fanzines like this. They are arguably the most popular hardcore band of recent times, and one of the very few bands that keep hardcore simple and represent its core (sic) values. In fact, this is exactly what the new song "The New Blood" talks about: hardcore in its purest form and the solid, life-saving impact it can have on one's life. The song is a mid-tempo schorcher which includes guest vocals by none other than H2O's Toby Morse. Enjoy the video, and visit Reaper Records for more info on Terror and many other back to basics hardcore acts!

Coming to think of it (and after watching "The New Blood" several times), it seems like this video is a good educational clip for people who want to know more about hardcore music and its roots. If you don't know the bands featured throughout this video, it's a good place to start doing some homework. If you do, well... feel proud and play those classics fucking loud!
